Tsuru means Crane. The "Tsuru" is one of the icons of Japan. I have a special feeling about this noble bird.
The last time I saw this bird was when I was still in Japan about 10 years ago. I still remember their human baby-like cries. The Crane is a symbol of happiness and celebration.
This Shinai bukuro is my 2nd creation. I made it with
two kind of cotton fabrics, one brown and the other a crane pattern.
I like to use crowded pattern fabrics for the lining
as it looks more elegant for a Shinai bukuro.
I was getting used to make these, so I tried little bit of
additional decor at the bottom, with the same patterned
fabric for the lining.
